Develop program logic for new applications or code modifications in existing applications. Code, developer test, debug, document, implement and maintain software applications. Analyze requirements, maintain, and integrate application components. Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented. Provide day-to-day support and participate in after hours on-call support. This includes analyzing new requirements to assist in development of estimates for proposed projects and system requirements. The responsibility also includes collaboration with team members and users to define code requirements or deficiencies. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help support the development process, and to ensure that project deliverables are met according to specifications. Collaborate with vendors, business users, programmers, network administrators, systems analysts and database analysts in resolving problems with software products or systems. Develop and utilize standard templates to document / review technical specifications. Collaborate with business analysts, users, and quality engineers to develop plans to ensure that the solutions perform with high quality. Essential functions: • Establish and maintain regular communication with IT management, the customer base, and staff regarding pertinent IT activities and services. • Communicate critical events, issues, or concerns to IT management in a proactive or timely manner. • Deploy, monitor, maintain, develop, upgrade and support IT services and systems. Collaborate with project leaders and project sponsors to report project scope, priority, budget and status. • Participate in technical research/projects as required, which could include leading such activities on smaller-scale initiatives • Mentor less experienced team members • Learn new technologies, as needed, to effectively complete related work and to propose emerging technologies. • Assist in the development of business continuity plans and procedures to support the continuance of planned company operations during a business disruption. REQUIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE: • Adept in one or more of the following languages: o .NET stack: such as C#, ASP.NET or .NET Core o JavaScript, including Typescript and ES6 • Experience with RESTful web services Strong understanding and knowledge of agile methodologies • Knowledge of domain-driven design and application design patterns • Knowledge of QA processes and test-driven development • Experience with common JavaScript libraries/frameworks (Angular, React, Vue) • Familiarity with building cloud-native applications (AWS) • Familiar with relational (SQL) and non-relational (document, key-value, column, graph) databases • Working knowledge of FERC and NAESB Standards
