Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy company LANs, WANs, and wireless networks, including servers, routers, Aps, hubs, switches, UPSs, and other hardware.
  • Configure, manage, and maintain essential network hardware and software.
  • Monitor network performance to determine if adjustments need to be made.
  • Confer with network users about solving existing system problems.
  • Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of networks and computer systems.
  • Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel to facilitate purchases.
  • Develop and document network troubleshooting procedures and policies.
  • Implement and manage security solutions for the network.
  • Train team members on new hardware or software integrations.

 

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Certifications such as CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience and success with LAN, WAN, WLAN, and WWAN design and implementation.
  • Experience with network capacity planning, network security principles, and general network management best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
