ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Analyze the planning, design, development, and implementation of system and network engineering plans for our IC customers. Monitor all activities of the network facilities and ensure high quality data transmission. Provide tech support for customer engagements/interactions, including receipt of specs, design, test, and response to service requests. Debug and test networks, analyze technical projects, perform needs assessments, analyze and/or oversee cost and benefit estimates, presentations, negotiations, installations, problem resolutions, procurements, and multi-vendor product integration. Provide initial eng and implementation support of networks to assure proper execution and provides resolution for system failures or degradations. Provide proj mgmt and docs. Participate in or facilitate stakeholder meetings. Proven ability to delegate tasks, comprehensively and in parts.

Basic Qualifications:
• 4+ years of experience with network/system administration.  
• Strong Linux Experience -  maintaining CENTOS, REdhat/RHEL, or SUSE.  
• Experience with maintaining VMware ESXi hosts and virtual machines (VMs)  * Experience with basic containerization technologies like Docker and/or Podman.  • Ability to maintain sw dev infrastructure supporting multiple environments (networks) in a fast-paced, highly technical environment.  
•    Ability to take initiative and make recommendations on existing infrastructures.
 • Self-starter.  
• Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills.  
•    BA or BS degree in CS or 8+ years of experience with network admin in lieu of a degree

Additional Qualifications (nice to haves):
•    Experience deploying and administering a RHEL Satellite server
•    Experience with maintaining Network Appliance (Netapp) storage arrays or technologies
•    Experience with maintaining a Windows 7 or Windows 10 desktop environment
•    Experience with maintaining a Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy environment
•    Experience with Oracle Hardware and Solaris OS (x86 and SPARC).
•    Experience with facilitating and/or implementing Information Security Best Practices (patching, IAVA remediation, POA&M development, other security compliance initiatives)
•    Experience with maintaining and administration of Cisco networking switches
•    Experience with maintaining network cabling infrastructure, including copper and fiber cabling
•    Experience with Splunk logging and NESSUS vulnerability scanning
•    Familiarity with Kanban / Agile methodologies, Jira, Redmine, other project management applications
