  • Nexus Platform, BGP Protocol, Switching & Port Channel, IOS Upgrade, VLAN's, OSPF Protocol, F5-Load Balancer

     

Responsibilities

 

  • Knowledge and hands on experience (Configuring and Troubleshooting) in Cisco Nexus devices and its concepts
  • Hands on experience in Data Center environment
  • Rich hands on experience in BGP routing concepts
  • Switching Concepts
  • Should have worked on Multiple device IOS upgrades
  • Should have strong knowledge in VLAN and other switching concepts

     

Nexus Platform - VPC, VDC, VPC Peering, FEX, Fabric Path, VSS, VLAN and Vxlan, feature fcoe, VTP Domain, Access List, Vlan (L2, L3), Spanning-tree, VRF Context, Route-map

BGP Protocol - What is BGP? Port Number, Can I run two BGP process on single router, What is a poison reverse, Can I use BGP instead of any IGP, BGP path selection criteria, route reflector, BGP community attribute, recursive lookup in BGP, load balancing, autonomous system (AS) number, What is synchronization, and how does it influence BGP routes installed in the IP routing table, difference between RD and RT, RD travels in route update, CEF

Switching & Port-Channel Suspended state, STP, RSTP, RSTP converges faster than STP, STP Port Roles, STP Blocking State, BPDU, STP Path Cost Value, TCN in RSTP, Port Roles in RSTP, HSRP Load balancing, HSRP Vlan redundancy

IOS Upgrade (3650, Nexus Platform, 9300, 4500), 3650 Bundle Mode/Install Mode, Copying the IOS, Installing the IOS, Boot Statement verification, Software expanding, Nexus install command, Nexus non-disruptive.

VLAN's Native Vlan, Two subnet single VLAN, L2 & L3 Vlan Configuration, VTP, Revision number change on the switch

OSPF Protocol - OSPF Process & State, Summarization, Route Distribution, OSPF Cost, Type-1 (E1) & Type-2 (E2) in redistribution, OSPF Virtual link, LSA, Database Table

F5- Load Balancer - Load Balancing, LTM, GTM, VIP's, Nodes and Pools, Method of Load Balancing, SSL Certificate, Profiles, Monitors, i Rules
