Core Responsibilities
- Performs Windows server administration; designs, installs/decommissions, and configures servers both on-prem.
- Supports server OS and Application deployments and other special projects like server migrations etc.
- Monitors servers for security threats and vulnerabilities, such as malware, viruses, and other attacks, and takes appropriate action to mitigate these risks.
- Monitors the performance of servers and ensures that they are running smoothly; this includes checking system logs, monitoring resource usage, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Maintains reports regarding system downtime, plans for preventative maintenance, and disaster recovery.
- Improves and maintains monitoring, configuration management, and reporting functions.
- Maintains inventory and asset configuration documentation.
- Ensures change control processes are followed and service levels, affected by those changes, are maintained.
- Troubleshoots server issues such as software and hardware failures, connectivity issues, and security breaches.
- Conducts log analysis and patch management to ensure high system integrity and security.
- Assists with management of Active Directory, Group Policies, Users and Computers; manages user accounts, permissions, and access control to ensure that only authorized users have access to sensitive data and resources.
- Performs scheduled and ad hoc control/compliance validation; assesses and audits against Company security policies and standards.
- Ensures that the server's operating system and applications are up to date with the latest security updates and patches.
- Ensures that the server's data is regularly backed up and can be restored in the event of a disaster or system failure.
- Serves as technical expert in server systems administration and systems management.

Job Specification and Desired Skills
- Windows servers.
- Knowledge of ACS and VMS (AXIS, Genetec, AMAG, ProWatch, MorphoManager, etc.)
- Understanding of AD.
- Previous experience with security operations is a plus.
- Previous system administration experience is a plus.
- Experience working in high-pace environments with little supervision.
- Communication.
- Scripting skills a plus.
- Documentation and presentation skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills (technical and non-technical).
