Qualifications
•Must haves: Strong knowledge and extensive hands-on experience in the following areas and technologies:
•TCP/IP protocols (TCP, UDP, FTP, GRE, ESP, etc.)
•Cisco firewalls, branch office to datacenter grade (ASA5500, FWSM, ASA-SM)
•Operational experience with TACACS+/Radius authentication systems
•IP telephony, prioritization of RTP traffic
•Experience with Netflow analysis and using Netflow collectors
•Operational knowledge of Linux operating systems
•Scripting (bash, perl, etc),
•Ability to work independently with or without direction and or supervision
•Portray professional demeanor


Bachelors' degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities

•This position covers both level 2 and level 3 network infrastructure support, and technical development of projects
•This position reports to the Manager of Network Operations
•Load balancing traffic across server farms, load balancing algorithms, health probes
•Wide area network circuits and services (MetroE, OCxx, MPLS, DS1/DS3, etc.)
•Cisco switches, branch office to datacenter grade (3560, 3750, 6500, Nexus 55xx, 7000, etc.)
•Communicate and prepare written material in professional manner
•Manage own time and tasks
•Prepare reports and status periodically
•Maintain a tidy desk and work environment
•Responsible for the maintenance, monitoring and ongoing support of the global Citco network, including WAN and LAN at the datacenters and at the remote offices worldwide
•Manage chronic problems to closure
•Keep informed on new developments and products in our technology area and recommend implementation of new solutions as appropriate
•Show excellent decision making skills that support the needs of the business
•Coordinate the delivery of new circuits by telecomm providers
•Exceptional troubleshooting skills within the network scope and outside into other technology areas in assistance of other IT groups
•Mentor the rest of the team with emphasis on the more junior members to bring their skills up
•Abide by established processes, procedures and policies
