Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Build, operate, and maintain network devices in the Virginia Data Center

Configure routing protocols and provide network information

Configure ports and extend VLANs

Support the migration from the Denver Data Center to the Richardson Data Center

Create comprehensive end-to-end plans, including designs and upgrades for enterprise-wide LANs/WANs

Coordinate network modifications with other IT departments and change management teams

Develop Concepts of Operation, Requirements, Basis of Design, and critical design documents and drawings

Perform fault isolation and resolution methodically and thoroughly

Assist with life-cycle management evaluations and recommendations

Design and operate networks using routing protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, route leaking, route redistribution, route-maps, etc., and WAN technologies like MPLS, DMVPN, VRF, etc

Utilize network management applications and related protocols like SNMP and Netflow, SolarWinds, NetBrain, and Wireshark

Provide support for change control after hours and/or over weekends
