Description

•Use network and security monitoring tools to audit infrastructure, detect issues and coordinate remediation of any issues.

•Must be proficient with layer 2 and layer 3 technologies (BGP, VLANs, Trunking, IPSec, etc)

•Develop network and security configuration procedures and documentation to assist in ongoing implementation.

•Provide high level overview to the team so they can plan and prioritize the work load accordingly

•Maintain inventory records for circuit installs, circuit disconnects, network support contracts and in house network hardware inventory.

•Monitor circuit and application performance.

•Stay abreast of network and security concerns/issues and work with the team to collect and share thoughts of how we can improve.

•Responsible for learning all of the systems and applications required to perform the job function adequately

 

Education and experience:

 

•Strong hands on technical experience with routers and switches.

•Previous experience in Cisco networking a plus.

•Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university, or

any equivalent combination of certification, education and experience

•Cisco (CCNA) and/or (CCNP) certification.

•Possess good decision-making skills and strong customer service skills

•Ability to maintain clear and detail oriented documentation of processes and procedures

•Maintain and increase technical capabilities through knowledge gained in product testing, training, and quality/process improvement
