Evaluates, designs, documents, installs, implements, tests, performs problem isolation and resolution, monitors, tunes and sets standards

Maintains a complex range of computer network components and systems

Plans and coordinates major information technology initiatives. Researches, evaluates and recommends new computer network equipment and technologies

Utilizes monitoring, performance analysis, network management, software and hardware equipment to trouble shoot and isolate problems, gauge network performance and trace data and protocol activity

Devises solutions to complex operational problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment

Develops and/or executes contingency plans for network software and hardware failures including isolated and major outages

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities


 

Provide enterprise level support and monitoring for World-class Test and Evaluation Center. This would include performing configuration, administration, troubleshooting and support of Cisco networking devices, WAN/LAN optimization systems, VoIP/RoIP/Video, and encryption devices. Oversee implementation of systems specifications; integration, testing, and documentation are a key part of the role. Exhibit strong technical skills related to numerous networking technologies including but not limited to: EIGRP, route redistribution, route filtering, Multicast, QoS, NBAR, GRE tunnels, Layer 2/3 switching, interVLAN routing, NAT, VPNs Spanning Tree, standard/extended ACLs, TACACS, Solarwinds, Riverbeds, and encryption devices.
