Description

Our client is looking for a Network Engineer. They need people with experience working with DOCSIS, PONF and someone with a CCNP. You will need to understand cable network architecture (end to end).

 

Example of what this person will be responsible for on a day-to-day basis:

 

This team gets chronic issues that operations sees. When this team gets the field issue in, they look at the data and try and replicate the environment so that can reproduce the issue. They will create the situation in the lab and work with the vendors to recommend permanent fixes and/or develop work arounds. You will need to be a curious engineer who is interested in digging deeper to find a solution.

 

MUST HAVE skillsets:

 

  • DOCSIS, CMTS background
  • Cable background- RF component. MUST understand end to end Cable network architecture
  • Experience with PON (passive optical network)
  • Experience with access networks in general

 

Nice to Have Skillsets:

 

  • Someone with a route/switch background
