Network Engineer - Riga, Latvia

Location: Ability and willingness to relocate to Riga, Latvia shortly after hire.

Base Salary: $125K + uplifts for Cost of Living Allowance (COLA) and Living Quarter Allowance (LQA)

LQA and COLA amounts: follow the Department of State DSSR (Dept of State Standardized Regulations) for Riga, Latvia

Latvia Tasks: MOD/JHQ

Supports operational/strategic level MPE development to National/NATO/U.S. standards. With host Nation, determines the foundation for interoperability of their Information Environment’s network equipment. Support the Provide courses of action to enhance their IT network infrastructure and integrate all branches into one information sharing environment. Identify capability gaps of current Host Nation Networks that pertain to the ACBN/MPE. Evaluate and recommend Alternative communication links to assist host nation with maintaining survivability within their Information Environment. Aid in the development of sustainment plans for network equipment procurement. Identify training gaps within network engineering and provide recommendations to fill.

PEO EIS AIT Tasks

Provide Technical Status updates about on-going cases to PEO ESI AIT when implementation has begun. Interface directly with AIT Project Managers to provide in-country assistance when needed. Support integrators regarding base access and secure location access. Work with Senior Engineers and Architects to develop and analyze current and future network builds for the Host Nation, ensuring sustainment and consistency with current Host Nation Architecture.

EUCOM J67

Observer C5I Interoperability board established by EUCOM J67.

ODC

Work with Bi-lateral Affairs Officer to identify network training opportunities for mil-to-mil engagements determined from personnel capability gap analysis of Host Nation.

Provide updates on current network equipment related projects both U.S., coalition, and Host Nation lead. This ensures lines of effort are not duplicated and the Host Nation will achieve their goals of developing their Information Environment.

USAFE

Interface with USAFE on all ACBN/MPE related tasks to ensure Host Nation is tracking all events milestones related to their U.S. provided network. Identify key USAFE personnel and ensure bi-weekly communication is established to continually develop and maintain the ACBN/MPE.



Requirements: Minimum Requirements for Consideration

a) Current US Passport

b) US Secret clearance with NATO read-on (or the ability to obtain NATO read-on)

c) General knowledge of Tactical Data Links (TDLs)

d) General knowledge of Federated Mission Networking (FMN) Spirals

e) General knowledge of cross-domain solutions

f) Experience with bilateral or multilateral capacity building within the IT or Cyber space 

g) NATO experience highly desired
