Overview 

Under the supervision of the network manager and the team lead (Network), the Network Engineer Level 3 is responsible for implementing day to day IT program requirements to ensure that IT network infrastructure and data center elements and associated systems are functioning efficiently, effectively, and securely. 

 

Responsibilities 

  • Working with multiple types of routers and switches, SD-WAN (Cisco, CloudGenix, Arista, Juniper) 
  • Working with Cloud technologies and Security 

 

Qualifications 

Qualifications/Requirements: 

  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team 
  • Demonstrated excellence in communication, time management, organizational and customer service skills 
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and persistence 
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and SharePoint 
  • The candidate does not need to be an expert on all technologies; however needs to be an expert in at least 2 technologies to be considered 
  • Expert in Routing & switching with multi-vendor hardware (Cisco Routers, Cisco switches, CloudGenix, Arista & Juniper) 
  • Expert knowledge in routing, multicast, and overlay protocols (BGP, EIGRP, PIM, VXLAN) 
  • Expert knowledge in switching protocols (RPVST, MST, VLANs) 
  • Knowledge of SD-WAN 
  • Work closely with the Network architecture, security and application teams to rollout new designs and perform activities for supporting cloud application migration projects. 
  • Expert in Security with multi-vendor hardware (Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, Cisco ISE) 
  • Strong understanding of the following Network protocols: BGP, IPSec and IPSec VTI VPN 
  • Strong in Wireless Technologies (Cisco, Juniper Mist) 
  • Knowledge of public cloud network design and implementation 
  • AWS-specific skills (Networking): 
    • VPC, virtual gateway, Route53, Direct Connect Gateway, transit vpc, transit gateway, lambda, endpoints, load balancers 
  • AWS-specific skills (Security): 
    • ACM, WAF, Config, CloudWatch, Flow-logs, IAM, ES etc. 
    • Candidates with expert knowledge of ZScaler (ZPA, ZIA, ZScaler cloud connector) will be preferred 
    • Scripting (Python, Ansible, Tower) experience is a plus 
    • Increasing knowledge and emphasis on network automation via Python, APIs, or well-established 3rd party frameworks

Education

Bachelor’s Degree
