Description: One of our largest clients in searching for experienced Network Engineer to join their growing team!

Position Title: Network Engineer

Team: At Comcast, this team manages and launch all core network devices in which they have commercial services for – primarily supporting commercial customers.

Ideal Candidate

 

  • Experience in networking with a core understanding of networking devices specifically more routing focused – Cisco, Juniper, Nokia routers
  • Either Cisco/Juniper/Nokia router/hardware knowledge – need to be able to speak to it in the interview
  • Looking for someone with exposure to layer 2 & 3 – troubleshooting and configuration
  • Strong Routing protocol experience – OSP, ISP, NPLS, BGP, etc.
  • Troubleshooting is important, mid to expert level, not basic/grad level
  • Looking for someone experienced enough who is able to start working from day 1
  • CCNA/CCNP is a plus

     

Day To Day

 

  • Strong routing protocol experience – must be able to troubleshoot L2/L3 routers (Cisco/Juniper/or Nokia)
  • Assist with routing configuration and design work – will support device through design to then hand off to installation team
  • Prepare configuration files, prepare launch devices, complete migration work
  • Supporting critical project with in depth troubleshooting across multiple Comcast business units
