Job Description:

  • Excellent IP networking fundamentals and extensive experience in the application of IP protocols.
  • In-depth knowledge of OSPF, EIGRP and BGP with experience administering these protocols in a large, distributed network.
  • Manage and Troubleshoot complex enterprise routing with BGP, OSPF and QoS.
  • Manage and Troubleshoot switch network configured with MST, RPVST, Ether-channel, Dot1Q Trunking, Pruning etc.
  • Handle and Troubleshoot DC setup with VPN (DMVPN, L2L and AnyConnect) tunnels configured on Cisco Routers and ASA boxes.
  • Handle and troubleshoot Cisco NEXUS switches (5000, 7000, 6000, 9000 series) configured with VDC, VPC, FEX, OTV.
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with Cisco 29xx, 36xx, 37xx, 38xx, 43xx, 65xx, ASR 1000 & 4000 ISR Gen series platforms.
  • Enterprise WLAN infrastructure such as Access Points from Cisco, Aruba, Juniper etc also the management platform WLAN Controllers.
  • Good working understanding of cradle point 4G/5G WAN routers and management of Out o Band usage would come handy.
  • Excellent network analysis fundamentals and robust troubleshooting skills.
  • Deep understanding of TCP internals, especially across wide area networks.
  • 7+ years’ of experience in a similar environment.
  • Good communication and documentation skills.
  • Candidates should also have had significant past experience with and expertise in many of the following protocols and technologies: 802.3, 802.1d VLANs/STP, IPv4, TCP, BGP, OSPF, HSRP/GLBP, TACACS, DNS, DHCP, HTTP.
  • Provide specialized hardware / software / network problem diagnosis / resolution for customer’s Network.
  • Provide support to Network hardware/software/ configuration as assigned by Level2 Network team – Timely closure of Problem Incidents.
  • Escalation point for Level 2 engineers.
