Network Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Firmware upgrades and patching of network devices according to agreed-upon frequency and OEM recommendations.

• Management of WAN/DC-LAN infrastructure.

• Configuration and troubleshooting of Fortinet SD-WAN.

• Configuration of HPE/Aruba switches and Aruba Wireless.

• Management of DNS/DHCP and IPAM tools, including EfficientIP and Infoblox.

• Management of load balancers using ADC and F5.

• Management of SSL encryption, including ports, ciphers, and protocols.

• Collaboration with the customer to gather information on application impact and functionality issues.

• Coordination of hands-and-feet support for network devices at customer data centers.

• Operational support for incident, change, and problem management for data center network devices.

• Capacity forecasting and performance assistance for the network.

• Creation and maintenance of operational runbooks and standard operating procedures.

• Maintenance of network topology and logs.

• Coordination with third-party vendors for network operational support.

• Provisioning and installation of physical network devices.

• Providing network architecture diagrams.

• Monitoring and generating operational reports.

• Reviewing and approving changes proposed by the service provider.

• Troubleshooting load balancing authentication systems.

• Managing DNS and DHCP services, including configuration, maintenance, and capacity monitoring.

• Providing IP address management services, including installation, relocation, and upgrading of devices.

• Performance monitoring and management, including proactive measures and self-healing capabilities.

• Resolution of network problems in accordance with incident and problem management policies.

Requirements:

• Experience in firmware upgrades and patching of network devices.

• Knowledge and experience in WAN/DC-LAN infrastructure management.

• Experience with Fortinet SD-WAN and HPE/Aruba switches.

• Proficiency in DNS/DHCP and IPAM tools, including EfficientIP and Infoblox.

• Experience with load balancer management using ADC and SSL encryption.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills with customers.

• Hands-on experience in network troubleshooting and incident management.

• Capacity forecasting and performance monitoring expertise.

• Familiarity with network architecture and topology.

• Ability to generate and interpret operational reports.

• Understanding of change management processes.

• Familiarity with DNS, DHCP, and IP address management.

• Proficiency in performance monitoring and management tools.

• Ability to coordinate with third-party vendors for network support.

• Certifications such as RHCE or equivalent are desirable.
