Network Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Expert level experience in routing & switching, Wi-Fi and network packet brokers to design, implement, and support our datacenter and campus networks

Provide day to day operational support for LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure

Reviews network designs for an EVPN, VxLAN, leaf-spine architecture and make recommendations for deployment, upgrades, enhancements or improvements as required

Deploying and maintaining Aristas NDR and AGNI Security solutions

Develop and maintain a network infrastructure monitoring and alerting strategy

Required Skills and Experience:
Network Industry Certification preferred Arista ACE 3 or above

10+ years working experience with network technologies including network design and deployments of Campus and Data Center networks

Expert knowledge in the following areas: Ethernet, VLANs, VxLAN, VPN, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, IPsec, MACsec, Multicast, QoS, Wi-Fi, VoIP, and 802.1X

Desired Skills:.

Palo Alto firewall experience

Education

Education and/or Experience 

Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university preferred and 10+ years’ experience with technology organizations required. Strong working knowledge of Commonwealth of VA Information Security Standard (SEC530) preferred.
