Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Network Design: Plan and design network architectures and solutions to meet the organization's business needs, considering scalability and future growth.
  • Network Implementation: Configure, install, and maintain network equipment, including routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
  • Network Security: Implement and maintain security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls to protect the network from threats.
  • Routing and Switching: Configure and manage routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP) and switching technologies to optimize network performance.
  • Wireless Networking: Design, configure, and troubleshoot wireless networks, ensuring reliable connectivity.
  • Network Monitoring: Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively, using network monitoring tools and protocols.
  • Network Optimization: Optimize network performance through load balancing, traffic engineering, and QoS (Quality of Service) implementation.
  • Network Documentation: Create and maintain detailed network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures.
  • Incident Response: Respond to and resolve network-related incidents and outages, providing support 24/7 as needed.
  • Capacity Planning: Perform capacity planning to ensure network resources meet current and future business requirements.
  • Vendor Management: Manage relationships with network equipment vendors and service providers to ensure timely support and service delivery.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system administrators and security professionals, to deliver integrated solutions.


Qualifications:
 

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology) is preferred.
  • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Engineer with a focus on Cisco technologies.
  • Preferable to have HCIA (datacom), HCIP(datacom), HCDA, ACSA, PCNSA, CCSA, NSE4
  • Preferable if additional knowledge on HP, HPe Aruba, Huawei, Dell network products etc..
  • Preferable if additional knowledge on Checkpoint, Fortigate, Palo Alto, forcepoint, Zcaler  Security products etc..
  • Strong knowledge of network design principles and best practices.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco routers and switches.
  • Experience with network security technologies and practices.
  • Knowledge of wireless networking and protocols.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to diagnose and resolve network-related issues.
  • Understanding of network capacity planning and performance optimization.
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently when required
