Qualification:Holding a degree and having a technical background will be required to gain a Network Engineer role.

Job Description:
Establish networking environment by designing system configuration; direct system installation; define, documenting, and enforce system standards.

Maximize network performance by monitoring performance; troubleshoot network problems and outages; schedule upgrades; collaborate with network architects on network optimization.

Secures network system by establishing and enforcing policies; define and monitor access.

Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; read professional publications; maintain personal networks; participate in professional organizations.

Accomplish information systems and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

Report network operational status by gathering, prioritize information; manage projects.

Design and implement new network solutions and/or improve the efficiency of current networks

Install, configure and support network equipment including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS and DHCP

Procure network equipment and manage subcontractors involved with network installation

Configure firewalls, routing and switching to maximize network efficiency and security

Maximize network performance through ongoing monitoring and troubleshooting

Arrange scheduled upgrades, investigate faults in the network

Update network equipment to the latest firmware releases

Report network status to key stakeholders
