Description

Responsibilities:
•          Design and develop maintainable and highly available network architectures that meet business connectivity objectives and SLAs
•          Provide technical consultation on IT projects and ensure network infrastructure is deployed to corporate standards
•          Configure, deploy, and maintain Network products and technologies
•          Carry out day-to-day operational and technical support for the ConocoPhillips’ network
•          Monitor network performance and proactively address potential issues
•          Maintain systems software including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
•          Manage firewall policy and conduct periodic reviews to ensure compliance
•          Ensure firewall security products (URL Filtering, Threat Prevention, SSL Decryption, DLP, VPN, etc.) are in alignment with current standards and processes
•          Troubleshoot connectivity issues related to Network Security systems
•          Partner with global members of the Network Services team to exchange knowledge, experience, and further the connectivity capability
•          Utilize innovative analytics solutions to build insight into ConocoPhillips’ global network
•          Employ various scripting languages such as Python and Ansible to automate network operations functions

Required:
•          3+ years of experience of network/firewall principles
•          3+ years of experience with scripting or programming paradigms
•          Available to perform tasks outside normal business hours on a rotational callout basis

Preferred:
•          Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or other IT/IS related discipline
•          5+ years of experience in Networking, Network Security, or IT Security
•          Working knowledge of Connectivity platforms: Cisco LAN, WAN devices and ACI Data Center technologies, Palo Alto Firewalls, or Aruba/HP Edge Connect SD-WAN devices
•          1+ years of experience with scripting languages and tools (Python, Ansible, and PowerShell)
•          Advanced understanding of network security concepts including Zero Trust and Micro-Segmentation
•          Advanced proficiency in networking principles, routing, network design, and common network protocols
•          Basic proficiency working with REST APIs
•          Certifications: CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, PCNSE, or PCNSA
