Description

Essential Duties:  

  • Analyze and troubleshoot problems, recommend solutions, products, and technologies to meet objectives 
  • Assist in the recommendation and Implementation of an appropriate Security Monitoring Systems and other Security solution, such as NGFW, IDS, IPS, DLP that ties into SIEM, IAM & XDR 
  • Assist the end-users, other IT professionals and/or external customers in resolving security related issues or problems 
  • Actively monitor and inform of any external or internal threats and ensure proper security remediation & controls 
  • Assist in implementing Security Solutions, which could include assisting in configuration changes, and projects requiring security operational support   
  • Assist Design, configure, deploy, and maintain the state enterprise security infrastructure 
  • Assist and participate on any BCP/DR and/or Pen-Testing Exercises and provide appropriate support 
  • Appropriately assist in incident response for any breaches, intrusions, or theft 
  • Assist in monitoring systems for any anomalies, proper updating, and patching 
  • Maintain and contribute to relevant system documentation and configuration data for operational purposes.

Qualifications: 

  • Prefer 5 to 10 years of experience in IT in the area of security, operations and/or help desk support; but would also welcome individuals in other areas with technical and analytical mindset with the demonstration and proficiency to learn…  
  • Preferably in the Financial & Investment Banking Industry 
  • Educational and/or professional understanding of network security protocols, hardware and software with demonstrated base knowledge of a Local and Wide Area (LAN/WAN) including telephony and video 
  • Knowledge and Experience with the following firewalls is required: Palo Alto, CISCO ASA, Juniper SRX,   
  • Exposure to working or educational knowledge with Juniper & Cisco Routers and switches would is preferred..  
  • Educational or professional exposure to Microsoft OS, Virtual Servers, VPN, Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Cloud Infrastructure 
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field from a regionally accredited institution 
  • Experience in the Financial & Investment Banking w/ Trading Floor Experience is plus
