Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Monitoring and Maintenance:
o Monitor UC and IP telephony systems for performance and availability using network monitoring tools.
o Perform routine maintenance tasks, including software updates and configuration changes.
2. Troubleshooting and Support:
o Provide first and second level support for UC and IP telephony issues, including diagnosing and resolving basic technical problems.
o Escalate complex issues to senior engineers or relevant teams as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Education: Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience:
o 1 to 5 years' experience in relevant field
• Technical Skills:
o Basic understanding of VoIP protocols such as SIP and H.323.
o Knowledge with Cisco WebEx calling, Session Border Controller, CUCM
o Familiarity with network monitoring / troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, PRTG)
o Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including NAT, firewalls, and QoS.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CCNA (Voice), SIP certification, CompTIA Network+, or similar.
• Experience: Hands-on experience with UC systems or IP telephony in a lab or professional environment.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with specific UC platforms (e.g., Cisco Unified Communications, Microsoft Teams).
