Job Title: ODA Infrastructure Administrator
Job Overview: The ODA Infrastructure Administrator is responsible for the setup, configuration, maintenance, and performance optimization of the hardware and infrastructure components that support Oracle Database Appliances. This role ensures the reliability, availability, and scalability of the ODA environment
1. Infrastructure Management:
• Hardware Setup: Installation and configuration of ODA hardware components.
• Storage Configuration: Set up and manage storage, including disks, volumes, and RAID configurations.
• Networking: Configure and optimize the network infrastructure to support ODA connectivity.
• Virtualization (if applicable): Manage virtualization technologies to allocate resources effectively.
• Backup and Recovery: Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies for the ODA infrastructure.
•    Manage OVM and KVM hypervisor using ODACLI.
•    Infrastructure Patching as per Oracle Support Quarterly releases to all the components.
2. Patch Management:
• Apply Patches and Updates: Regularly apply Oracle patches and updates to the ODA to ensure security and performance improvements.
• Database Upgrades: Plan and execute upgrades when necessary, ensuring minimal downtime.
3. Monitoring and Alerts:
• Proactive Monitoring: Implement monitoring tools to detect issues before they impact performance.
• Alert Management: Set up alerting mechanisms to notify administrators of critical events or performance anomalies.
4. Documentation:
• Maintain Records: Keep comprehensive documentation of configurations, procedures, and policies.
• Documentation Updates: Ensure documentation is current, reflecting the latest changes to the ODA environment.
5. Compliance and Security:
• Data Security: Implement security practices to protect sensitive data.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the ODA environment complies with relevant regulations and security standards.
6. Collaboration:
• Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with other IT teams, such as system administrators, network administrators, and application developers.
• User Support: Support end-users and assist in query optimization and database-related inquiries.
7. Troubleshooting:
• Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and database-related problems promptly.
• Root Cause Analysis: Investigate the root causes of performance issues and implement corrective actions.
8. Capacity Planning:
• Resource Forecasting: Analyze usage trends and plan for future resource requirements to accommodate business growth.
