Emergency Operations Plan Project Manager

Pierre, SD (Project will require SD base; however, most work can be done remotely)

12+ months Contract

The Client is seeking a qualified project manager to assist with development of the Client's Emergency Operations Plan.

General Project Summary:

Develop Client’s Emergency Operations Plan including a base plan, support annexes, and hazard/incident specific annexes. This plan must serve under the Client’s Emergency Operations Plan and be actionable in public health emergency situations. The need for this plan was identified in an official COVID-19 After Action Report and Improvement Plan. After development of the plan, training and exercise will need to be developed to ensure the plan is actionable and implemented throughout the Department.

Activities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate internal efforts for the flawless execution of plan development.
• Ensure planning efforts are occurring in conjunction with internal deadlines and on pace to meet project requirements.
• Facilitate regular planning meetings to ensure progress is on time with anticipated completion timeline.
• Ensure the Emergency Operations Plan is in accordance with agency branding standards including formatting. Will include ensuring consistency in language throughout the document.
• Maintain consistent contact with involved personnel to ensure any questions about content or formatting are addressed in a timely and consistent fashion.
• Coordinate reviews of the Emergency Operations Plans with subject matter experts, both internal and external to the Department of Health, for the various sections of the plan.
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
• Report and escalate issues through appropriate channels.
