Job Description:
- The successful candidate may have some experience and interest in the financial services or investment banking industry.
- Role is for a temporary employee supporting the Security Settlements department within the Shared Services and Bank Operations organization within our Baltimore office.
- The individual filling this role will be a part of a production team of 30 FTEs, who overall support Fixed Income and Equity products settling in American, Latin American and Canadian markets and the associated critical functions.
- The primary responsibility of Security Settlements is to execute on the settlement of Fixed Income and Equity Securities, manage firm deficits and overall inventory, minimize buy-in and regulatory risk, execute client asset transfers, and manage segregation of client assets for Fixed Income, Institutional Equity, Bank Resource Management and Prime Brokerage divisions.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the department with numerous functions as described, and also including: standard settlement, break and fail resolution, stakeholder communication, firm training, escalating risk, procedure updates and contributing to ongoing projects including new Settlements Platforms, Predictive Analytics, Risk Matrix, AGILE work methods and our LEAN agenda.

- Strong verbal and written business communication skills
- Basic accounting skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Equity and/or Fixed Income products and settlement market rules is a plus, but not required
