Oracle APEX Developer

Job Description

The Oracle APEX Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). This role focuses on ensuring high performance, availability, and security while collaborating with business stakeholders to deliver custom solutions tailored to their requirements. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in Oracle APEX development and database management, with experience in all stages of the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities: 
 

Design, develop, and maintain custom applications using Oracle Application Express (APEX). 
 

Perform full life cycle development, including planning, requirements analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment of APEX applications. 
 

Optimize APEX applications for performance, scalability, and security. 
 

Create and manage database objects, including tables, views, triggers, indexes, and stored procedures within Oracle Database. 
 

Develop user-friendly interfaces using Oracle APEX components such as forms, reports, charts, and dashboards. 
 

Integrate Oracle APEX applications with third-party systems and APIs, including RESTful web services. 
 

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Oracle APEX applications, ensuring system reliability. 
 

Collaborate with business users to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions. 
 

Conduct code reviews and ensure best practices are followed during the development process. 
 

Prepare technical documentation, including system designs, workflows, and procedures. 
 

Participate in Agile development practices, including sprints, daily stand-ups, and iterative delivery. 
 

Qualifications: 
 

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 
 

6 to 8 years of experience in Oracle APEX development. 
 

Strong experience with Oracle databases (11g, 12c, 19c) and SQL/PLSQL programming. 
 

Hands-on experience with APEX versions 19.x, 20.x, or later. 
 

Solid understanding of Oracle database architecture, schema design, and performance optimization. 
 

Proven experience in developing dynamic, interactive APEX web applications. 
 

Familiarity with web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. 
 

Experience in integrating APEX with RESTful web services and third-party APIs. 
 

Strong understanding of APEX security features, including authentication and authorization. 
 

Experience with Oracle APEX mobile application development is a plus. 
 

Skills: 
 

Expertise in Oracle APEX application development and database management. 
 

Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL, and relational database concepts. 
 

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work both independently and in teams. 
 

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with business stakeholders. 
 

Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
