Responsibilities
• Participate in business analysis activities to gather required reporting and dashboard requirements
• Translate business requirements into specifications that will be used to implement the required reports and dashboards, created from potentially multiple data sources
• Participate with other specialist to convert legacy system reports to Tableau/SSRS reporting solutions
• Integrate dashboards and reports from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality, usability and business rule standards
• Design report layout and determine best way to present data to end users
• Transition developed reports and dashboards to the Support team
• Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members
• Design and implement technology best practices, guidelines and repeatable processes
Experience, Skills and Abilities
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related area of study, or demonstrated equivalent work experience is required
• 5+ years of experience developing and implementing enterprise-scale reports and interactive dashboards
• Must have 3+ years of experience working with Tableau and SSRS
• Minimum 3+ years of hands on coding experience in Oracle PL/SQL
(packages/procedures/functions) and performance tuning of SQL queries
• Knowledge of logical and physical data modeling concepts (relational and dimensional)
• Strong analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures
• Proficient in creating report designs or mock-up reports
• Proficient in documenting and creating report specifications and other report artifacts
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, and assess and adjust quickly to changing priorities
• Ability to think creatively and work independently on complex tasks
• Any utility specific experience is a plus
Any Graduate
