Job Description:

  • Install, Manage and upgrade databases Oracle 11g,12c and 19c running on EXADATA & ODA systems.
  • Troubleshoot database issues such as performance problems, database errors, and connectivity issues, and resolving them in a timely manner.
  • Implementing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures to ensure that data can be restored in case of a disaster or data loss.
  • Involve in Planning and implementing upgrades and patches to the Oracle software to ensure that the database system is up to date with the latest features and security fixes.
  • Migrate Databases from On-premises to AWS Cloud.
  • Expertise in installing, upgrading, patching versions of Oracle on Linux, Sun Solaris, IBM AIX, HP Unix and windows Operating Systems.
  • Implement Goldengate replication between Oracle 19c and SQL server databases.
  • Upgrade Goldengate from 12.2 to 19 versions along with the databases.
  • Implement Huge Pages at OS level to increase the Performance.
  • Experience on Database Migration from Amazon EC2 to Amazon RDS
  • Involved in analysis and tuning of SQL queries by using EXPLAIN PLAN and TKProf for faster and better performance of the SQL queries
  • Migrated the best Execution plans from one database to another database.
  • Enable Data replication between Oracle to Mariadb, SQL server, Oracle and AWS S3 bucket using AWS DMS (Database Migration Service).
  • Perform query optimization using tools – SAR, TOP, SQLProfile, SQLPLANMGMT, TOAD.
  • Create the capacity planning for organization databases
