Description

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Database Management:
    • Install, configure, and maintain Oracle database software.
    • Create and manage databases according to organizational needs.
    • Monitor database performance and implement optimizations as needed.
  2. Security and Compliance:
    • Implement and maintain database security measures.
    • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations.
    • Conduct regular audits to identify and address security vulnerabilities.
  3. Backup and Recovery:
    • Develop and maintain database backup and recovery procedures.
    • Perform routine backups and test recovery procedures regularly.
  4. Troubleshooting and Support:
    • Respond to and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
    • Provide technical support to users and stakeholders.
  5. Documentation and Reporting:
    • Document database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
    • Generate reports on database performance and health.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Proven experience as an Oracle Database Administrator (DBA).
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and basic system administration tasks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Oracle certifications or relevant training is a plus.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization.
  • Knowledge of database replication and high availability solutions.
  • Familiarity with cloud database services.
  • Understanding of scripting languages (e.g., shell scripting).
