Job Description:
Provides technical support to CEDC application developers and agency users relating to the application of all ORACLE software products and associated hardware configurations. This support includes, but is not necessarily limited to, the current hardware owned by the agency. This support includes, but is not limited to, the following software:

  • Oracle Development tools (for Forms, Reports, Menus, and Web interface)
  • Oracle's SQL*Plus and PL/SQL
  • Oracle SQL*Net
  • Oracle's Relational DataBase Management System (RDBMS) software
  • Oracle Application Server
  • Oracle WebLogic Server
  • Oracle Enterprise Manager
  • Oracle JDeveloper
  • Red Hat Enterprise Linux
  • Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform
  • Responsible for researching, developing, testing, and implementing web-based solutions.
  • Responsible for analysis, development, testing, and implementation of distributed and non-distributed database applications.
  • Responsible for assisting in the analysis and design of database structures used in application systems for inter-agency use, at the request of the Department management.
  • Responsible for evaluating future trends in data processing and deliver written and oral reports to management as to how it may impact the data processing direction of the department. This includes research into the activities and direction of other corporate entities and user communities. The written and oral reports will be presented either as deemed necessary based upon research or at the request of Department management.
  • Responsible for maintaining, installing, preparing, and creating software for the initial distribution and ongoing releasing of application systems.
  • Assists CTO as needed. This will generally involve assistance with budgeting, planning, resource utilization, reporting, and special requests.
  • Responsible for monitoring and maintaining CEDC's eGov and Oracle Forms server environments.
  • Responsible for handling the System Administrator functions in the OnBase system. This includes being able to effectively monitor and troubleshoot the system.
  • Performs special projects directly assigned by and for the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and/or Chief Technology Officer (CTO).
