Job Description:
Client is currently recruiting a Project Cost Business Analyst. The Project Cost Business Analyst understands business processes and is able to map them back to JD Edwards (JDE) and other relevant applications as necessary.
The Project Cost Analyst drives the definition, optimization and improvement of new and existing business processes via development of functional requirements and manages process compliance as appropriate (e.g., internal controls, regulatory requirements, other business process, etc.) including development and delivery of documentation and training material. Opportunity to advance for self-motivated individual with excellent technical skills. This role reports to the Director of Information and Performance Systems.
Role and Responsibilities
- Extensive functional knowledge required in JDE E1 Project/Job Cost, Revenue and Profit Recognition functionality (including full understanding of methods of computation), Contract and Service Billing (including billing rate markup tables and setup), Work Orders as they relate to jobs, Procurement as it related to job commitments, Job Status Inquiry (JSI), use of production units and equipment costs/location billing, Budget Revisions, and Change Management
- Prior functional experience in the construction industry, preferably using JDE.
- General knowledge in foundational areas of JDE preferred, including address book, system constants, and other JDE technical areas (UDO’s, etc.).
- Should have knowledge of ERP implementation activities such as business requirements & analysis, mapping business processes, system configuration, gap fit analysis, application and report functional/technical specifications, unit and integration testing, data migration and or data conversion, understanding the integrations between various applications.
- SQL knowledge is requested
- Experience with JDE version of E1 9.0 & higher
- Excellent business communication skills, negotiation skills and presentation skills, ability to lead team discussions, solicit inputs, and facilitate decisions in professional manner, ability to work within large teams and learn new functionality and modules, ability to create detailed functional design documents.
- Expertise in modeling and documenting business processes (AS-IS, TO-BE) and experience in Production support activities, ticket prioritization/resolution.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Graduate / Post-graduate Degree in Business is required.
- Project Cost Business Analyst should have with minimum 5 years of experience in Oracle and JDE implementation/upgrade projects or 10 years of experience as functional user in requested areas.
- Ability to travel to regional offices to conduct meetings or trainings.
