Responsibilities:
Create, modify, and optimize firewall policies and rules to enhance network security.
Ensure alignment of firewall policies with organizational security and compliance requirements.
Continuously monitor network traffic and firewall logs to detect and respond to security incidents.
Investigate and resolve firewall-related performance and connectivity issues.
Stay informed of the latest security threats, vulnerabilities, and Palo Alto firewall best practices.
Implement industry-standard security measures to safeguard network integrity.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of firewall configurations, policies, and network diagrams.
Prepare reports on firewall performance, security incidents, and compliance.
Work with network engineers, system administrators, and security teams to ensure a unified security strategy.
Plan and perform firmware updates, patches, and software upgrades on Palo Alto firewalls.
Maintain an up-to-date and secure firewall infrastructure.
Assist in incident response activities to address and mitigate firewall-related security breaches or vulnerabilities.
Stay current with Palo Alto Networks products and certifications.
Provide training and share knowledge with team members on firewall technologies and practices.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Palo Alto Networks certification (e.g., PCNSE).
• Strong understanding of network security principles and practices.
• Expertise in configuring and managing Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience with network protocols, VPN configurations, and security policies.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
