JOB DESCRIPTION

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Processing: Manage and process bi-weekly or monthly payroll cycles, including the calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions. Ensure accuracy in data entry and payroll calculations.
Tax Compliance: Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations. Reconcile and resolve any tax discrepancies.
Benefits Administration: Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions. Coordinate and verify benefit contributions and deductions.
Payroll Reporting: Generate and distribute payroll reports to management, HR, and finance teams as needed. Prepare payroll-related reports for auditing and compliance purposes.
Compliance and Recordkeeping: Stay updated on federal and state labor laws and regulations related to payroll and ensure company compliance. Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records.
Employee Inquiries: Address employee inquiries related to payroll, tax withholdings, and benefits promptly and professionally. Provide assistance with payroll-related forms and documentation. Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes, recommending changes and automation when appropriate. Ensure payroll procedures align with best practices.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, including hands-on experience with payroll software and systems. Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations. Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel. Effective communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:

Pay Range*: $27.65/hr
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
