Position Description:
• Lead all D&R activities on behalf of PD Customizations team, incl systems & parts for Body (Interior & Exterior), Chassis, Electrical, and Powertrain (as applicable) applications.
• Manage the D&R process jointly with PMAs in terms of bringing new Accessories & Ideation to the programs, incl. concept, costs, risk & opps., and other engineering details (such as CAD)
• Manage different aspects of tophat and platform program deliverables related to Accessories, including CRF’s, workplans, program control, and build phases.
• Ensure program deliverables are on track; work with cross functional teams to develop and execute recovery plans as required.
• Support Accys PAT, including Marketing, PM, VE/UX, VCSE and PMT 4 teams as key attendee, to discuss Ideation, to align on accessories, and to ensure delivery at J#1 of agreed-upon accessories on SUV programs.
• Support Program and Accessory forums, incl Manufacturing forums and optimize holistic logistics/manufacturing footprint, initiating Qform process, etc.
• Develop presentations to clearly communicate Accessories to management/team, incl status of costs, identification of issues, next steps, etc.
• As needed, manage Global Integrator deliverables compliance, incl initiating 5D’s and/or conformance plans for accessories.
• Recommend and/or initiate Program Content/PDL changes, managing base content that requires “provisions” to allow accessories.
• Support prototype builds (TPV and DCV) as required and production builds (TT – J1), with possible support at Ford assembly plant.
• Potential other area(s) of responsibility include: Sourcing Process, Change Control/CNE Meeting, Timing, Cost, Prototype Planning, Tooling Kick-Off process, Complexity PAT, etc.
Required Education/Skills
• Undergraduate degree in Business or Engineering or related business experience.
• Exceptional communication skills, espec with regards to presenting at a CPE DF (chief design forum) or PAT (program action team). Excellent business acumen, especially financials, TFLE estimation, etc regarding System changes.
• Ability to develop strong positive team relationships and to prioritize to ensure appropriate program/management focus, incl demonstrated ability to show initiative and use of strong analytical skills.
• Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint, and in WERS and AIMS is desired.
• Willingness to learn and teach; coach/transfer lessons learned to other analysts, program teams, and Core Program Management - to achieve continuous improvement in program processes.
