Description of Engagement:
NYS OSC is looking for staff augmentation to help support the New York State Payroll System which is running on v. 9.2 of PeopleSoft’s HCM/Payroll for N. America. The Payroll Application team is seeking the services of an Application Developer 2 to assist with the daily work on our application development teams, which includes analyzing functional requirements, assisting with design documents, development of technical specifications, and application development and troubleshooting of the Payserv system. The development work encompasses work on a multitude of both batch and online objects in the payroll system. Experience in SQR and PeopleCode is needed. Project goals are to streamline processes, reduce customizations, troubleshoot current level programs, and develop enhancements requested by the business.

Mandatory Qualifications:

  • Six or more years of application development experience with PeopleSoft using at least three of the following toolsets: XML, PeopleSoft SQR, PeopleTools, PeopleCode, PSQuery, Data Mover, Application Engine, and Component Interface.
  • Six or more years of experience in using SQL over PeopleSoft Data Structures.
  • Four or more years of experience in using PeopleTools 8.x and higher.
  • Four or more years of experience conceptualizing and transforming business requirements into design documents with associated test plans and documentation.
  • Three or more years of experience developing collaborative solutions and troubleshooting issues between functional and technical teams.
  • Three or more years of experience providing knowledge transfer on new technologies and/or the developed application to other application developers.
  • At least three prior engagements developing PeopleSoft online applications and customization interfaces.
  • Three years of experience in using Oracle 11.x or higher database.
  • Two years of experience using Quest STAT or Phire for migrations.
  • One year experience using Toad or Oracle SQL Developer.
  • One year experience in at least two of the following:
    • Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to create inbound and outbound interfaces between PeopleSoft Components and external 3rd party applications
    • Unix Scripting
    • Using and Designing Crystal Reports
    • Oracle Policy Administrator
