Job Title: Perl Developer

Key Responsibilities:

Ascendion is looking for a Perl Developer for their Business Services organization. This candidate will be performing daily standup meetings with project management methodology using Kanban. They will be managing tickets and work towards a monthly release cycle, deciding two weeks prior to release what features will be included. The candidate will provide support to the QA team by executing smoke tests and resolving blockers identified during testing. The candidate will also be showcasing completed features to the product team and present successful implementations to other groups / verticals.

Must Haves:

5+ years' experience in Perl programming
3+ years exp with object-oriented programming background
Java or C++ background would be helpful as well.
Proficiency in backend coding with Perl (65% of work)
Business logic storage, Middleware, and database interactions
Experience with data manipulation in Perl
CGI programs
Experience with front-end development (35% of work)
Experience troubleshooting issues
Exp with developer tools within web browsers
2-3 years of experience working on Linux systems.
2-3 years of experience dealing with MySQL database.
2-3 years of experience using Apache web servers.
Several years of experience using JQuery and Javascript on the front-end.
Experience with version control systems
GitHub repositories
Familiar with Agile methodologies - Kanban
Plusses:

Experience working on Azure Cloud.
Azure Kubernetes Clusters (AKS)
Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly in cross-functional team environments
