PHP Backend Developer

Required

● 5+ years of backend programming experience

● Advanced experience with PHP

● Advanced experience with an OO language

● SOLID design principles

● Writing tests and believing in the value of test coverage

● Strong debugging skills

● Strong SQL skills

● Understanding of common web application security concerns and their mitigation

● Working in a team environment

● Adhering to code standards and breaking them when it's the right thing to do

● Working with external APIs

● Developing RESTful APIs

● An understanding of Service-Oriented Architecture and Microservices

● Ability to work within a strongly-collaborative environment

Preferred

● Experience working with AWS

● Experience working with Laravel

● Experience with Javascript and related frameworks

● Experience with CSS and related Frameworks

● Experience working at a startup
