Job Description
Role: PHP Developer
Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and maintenance of web applications, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and customer needs.
Provide hands-on technical leadership to the development team, including code reviews, architecture guidance, triage and problem-solving.
Mentor and guide team members to deliver high-quality, scalable, and reliable software.
Implement and enforce best practices for security, performance, and code quality.
Proactive ownership, assignment and delegation of critical and time-sensitive delivery of issue resolution and project tasks throughout the agile delivery life cycle.
Highly experienced with Customer-First focus when collaboration with commercial and business operation teams. Monitor and optimize application performance, ensuring they run efficiently and reliably using your extensive hands-on experience.
Implement and enforce best practices for security, performance, and code quality with a strong, hands-on approach to development.
Conduct regular security assessments and performance checks to identify and resolve potential issues, utilizing your deep technical knowledge.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, integrating relevant advancements into the development process with a strong, hands-on approach.
Manage the application lifecycle, ensuring timely updates, releases, and enhancements with your strong technical expertise.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to deliver solutions that meet customer needs with your strong communication skills.
Required / Desired Knowledge, Experiences, and Skills:
PHP Development:
5+ years of hands-on PHP development experience.
Proven success in leading development projects.
PHP Frameworks:
Expertise in frameworks like CodeIgniter, Laravel, Symfony, or Zend.
Experience with Enterprise Databases.
Over 5 years working with MS SQL or similar enterprise databases. Understanding of the policy lifecycle in database management.
APIs and Web Services:
Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and web services with practical implementation skills.
CodeIgniter Framework:
Deep experience with CodeIgniter and its ecosystem.
Front-End Technologies:
Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as jQuery and AngularJS.
Version Control:
Experienced with version control systems, especially Git.
Problem-Solving Skills:
Excellent problem-solving abilities and proactive in addressing technical challenges.
Additional Skills:
Knowledge of C# and a willingness to troubleshoot legacy components.
Ability to propose workarounds using PHP or other web technologies where code is not available.
