Postgre Tools Specialist

PostgreSQL Tools Specialist with Community Edition Description of Work: • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL Tools with Community Edition database, with a focus on EDB EFM, EDB PEM, and EDB Migration Portal as well as pgBackRest, pgBouncer, and pgPool • Champion the use of tools with PostgreSQL Community Edition. • Attend all customer technical discussions/design/development meetings and provide technical inputs to further enhance the code quality/process. • Provide guidance/support/training to other junior/mid-level staff. • Impact functional strategy by developing new solutions, processes, standards, or operational plans that position Leidos competitively in the marketplace. • All other duties as assigned or directed. Basic Qualifications: Minimum knowledge, skills, abilities needed. • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field. • Master's or Doctorate degree may substitute for required experience. • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. Contract requirement. • 10+ years of experience with Web component development using modern JavaScript, CSS, and CSS preprocessors such as SASS and LESS, ES 6+, and Stencil.js. • Senior Level knowledge of EDB tools EFM, EPM and Migration Portal. • Senior Level knowledge of pgBackRest, pgBouncer, and pgPool. • Strong experience installing and documenting PG tools. • Strong experience PostgreSQL Community Edition. • Experience with GIT/BitBucket, Jira, and Confluence or similar tools • Strong experience with PostgreSQL on Linux. • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills. • Understanding of database techniques and best practices. • Excellent communication and written skills • Must be able to obtain and maintain a US Public Trust clearance. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. • Database development skills • Familiarity with data modeling (Erwin data modeler) • Enterprise Data Catalog experience (Informatica)
