Postgres DBA

Role Description
 

This is a contract on-site role for a Postgres DBA located in Alpharetta, GA. The Postgres DBA will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the database architecture that supports GAS's services. Day-to-day tasks include database administration, design, troubleshooting, replication, and performance tuning. The Postgres DBA will also handle data security, backup, and recovery, ensuring that data is secure, consistent, and available to users as needed.
 

Qualifications
 

• Database administration, design, and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with Postgres databases
• Experience with replication technologies
• Knowledge of database security, backup, and recovery
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• Experience with Oracle databases is a plus
