Power BI - Data Engineer

Job Description:

• Strong experience in designing Power BI complex reports and AAS models.
• Strong experience in designing Data flows, Datasets and incremental refresh.
• Should work collaboratively with ETL developers to determine which KPIs should be evaluated in the ETL layer as opposed to the AAS layer.
• Good understanding of AAS optimization to create KPIs with optimum performance and minimum resource usage.
• Testing values KPI obtained from AAS against existing implementations.
• Understanding of RLS and CLS and how to integrate these rules in AD roles.
• Experience in developing real time (direct query mode) operational dashboards based on ETL audit/metrics metadata.
• Good experience in design of DAX queries.
• Excellent communication skills – will be required to work directly with end business users to capture reporting requirements.
• Should be able to develop quick mock-ups for specific business reporting needs and generate mock data for driving dashboard prototypes.
• Must be familiar with Agile ways of working including familiarity with Azure DevOps
