1) Broad explanation of the use of Power BI, mainly aimed at end users throughout organisation.
This training must provide an answer to questions such as: "how do I consult a report", "can I receive a report in my mailbox", what can I filter on... *
We would like to cover the following topics in the Target group: End users, Information Analysts and Information Stewards.
Training :
§ Data and Information Platform: technology and structure
§ Advantages of Power BI vs (for example) Excel
§ Components of Power BI, and their properties (Power BI Desktop / Power BI Mobile App / Power BI Service)
§ Building blocks in Power BI
§ Visualizations in Power BI
§ Power BI Service: subscribing to reports, personal bookmarks, filtering
§ Power BI Apps vs Workspaces
We expect that many exercises and cases that are relevant to the organisation will be developed during the training, based on the organisation open dates
Learning objectives: After completing this training, students will be able to create reports in Power BI Service and share them.
They can refine reports through visualizations and charts and have a basic understanding of Power BI Desktop.
This way, the students have an understanding of data modeling and basic knowledge of Power M for filtering. Can they combine and merge data from one or more supported data sources? Do they have basic DAX knowledge to be able to add calculations to their analyses? They can connect to data and import data. They can process, transform and model data. They know how to create visuals and reports as well as share them.
