Principal DevOps Architect

We are seeking an experienced Principal DevOps Architect to lead transformation initiatives in development and infrastructure. The successful candidate will play a critical role in designing and implementing DevOps solutions that foster organizational transformation, including assessing current state, creating a transformational roadmap, and driving its execution.

Responsibilities:

1.    Lead the assessment of the organization's current DevOps maturity, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improvement.

2.    Architect and implement comprehensive DevOps solutions that support the organization's transformation and strategic growth.

3.    Develop a detailed transformational roadmap, outlining steps for moving from the current to the desired state of DevOps maturity.

4.    Champion the cultural shift towards DevOps practices, including continuous integration/continuous deployment, automation, and infrastructure-as-code.

5.    Design and automate infrastructure components using cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).

6.    Develop and maintain code-based CI/CD pipelines integrating quality and security measures, enabling rapid software delivery and frequent releases.

7.    Define and drive monitoring, metrics, and logging strategies to enhance application performance, security, and reliability.

8.    Collaborate with software engineering teams, infrastructure teams, and business stakeholders to drive the DevOps transformation and ensure alignment with business objectives.

9.    Provide mentorship and guidance to DevOps and software engineering teams, fostering an environment of continuous learning and improvement.

10. Stay current with industry trends and technologies to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of industry standards.

11. Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to DevOps architectures and solutions

Qualifications

1.    Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

2.    Extensive experience in a Senior or Principal DevOps role, with a demonstrated track record of leading organizational transformation.

3.    Proven experience in assessing an organization's DevOps maturity and developing strategic transformational roadmaps.

4.    Strong experience in designing and implementing advanced DevOps solutions.

5.    Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies with Docker and Kubernetes.

6.    Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, Ruby, etc.

7.    Deep understanding of cloud services (AWS, GCP, Azure) and experience in managing complex multi-tier applications.

8.    Strong knowledge of networking, security, and database concepts.

9.    Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.

10. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to inspire and lead teams.

Nice to Have:

1.    Relevant professional certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Professional DevOps Engineer, or similar.
