Principal Network Automation Engineer

Job Duties and Responsibilities

DISH Wireless seeks a Principal Network Engineer to lead the design and implementation of network systems crucial for our 5G network's success. This role involves evaluating, testing, and deploying foundational network elements for a nationwide 5G buildout. The candidate will provide advanced technical leadership, including upgrades for mission-critical devices and services.

Key Responsibilities:

Communicating engineering solutions through detailed diagrams
Implementing Agile methodology for software development
Architecting and developing software automation tools
Guiding teams on best software development practices
Collaborating with teams to innovate and drive new features forward

Skills, Experience and Requirements

Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering
10+ years of professional experience in large enterprise or carrier environments
Professional networking certifications such as CCNA/CCNP/CCIE or equivalent are advantageous
Public cloud certifications like advanced networking, cloud network engineer, or equivalent are beneficial
 

Skills and Qualifications:

Proficiency in Python, SQL, JavaScript, BPA, NSO, REST, Bash
Experience with server virtualization (VMWare, OpenStack)

Salary Ranges

Compensation: $127,050.00/Year - $208,725.00/Year
