We are in need of a seasoned Principal Software Engineer with over 12+ years of experience to spearhead the maintenance efforts for the Ivanti File Director product line. Your role will be pivotal in ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of the File Director product, with a focus on bug fixes, security vulnerability work, and implementing shift-left testing strategies to guarantee high-quality releases.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Lead maintenance and enhancement efforts for the Ivanti File Director product, focusing on bug fixes, security vulnerability work, and implementing shift-left testing strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and implement solutions for maintaining and improving the File Director product.
• Utilize your expertise in FreeBSD, Ruby, Java, Spring Framework, HTML, CSS, and Angular development to address technical issues and enhance product features.
• Conduct code reviews, ensure adherence to coding standards, and guide team members.
• Develop and maintain technical documentation for the File Director product.
• Stay updated with the latest technologies and industry trends relevant to software maintenance, bug fixes, security vulnerabilities, and testing strategies.
• Implement automated testing methodologies and tools to ensure code quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with customer support and quality assurance teams to address customer-reported issues and ensure timely resolution.

To Be Successful in The Role, You Will Have:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Over 12+ years of software development experience, focusing on FreeBSD, Ruby, Java, Spring Framework, HTML, CSS, and Angular development.
• Proficiency in C++ development is a plus.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, principles, and best practices.
• Experience in bug fixing, security vulnerability work, and implementing shift-left testing strategies.
• Familiarity with automated testing methodologies and tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Prior experience in leading software maintenance projects is preferred.
