Privacy Analyst

DESCRIPTION:
What you'll do:

• Collaborates with Privacy, Governance, Cybersecurity and other IT application and data owners as needed to ensure conformance with privacy laws and requirements.
• Leads the Privacy by Design assessment rollout to assess the health of privacy posture of IT applications.
• Create metrics and derives insights on the privacy compliance maturity of various applications and products.
• Analyzing data from Cybersecurity discovery, Privacy and Governance scans/tools to identify & document, respond and escalate potential Privacy harms and incidents.
• Enable teams across the enterprise to execute on privacy by design by onboarding them to privacy platforms and frameworks.
• Create technical controls and documentation to operationalize Privacy By Design requirements.
• Conduct Privacy by Design and Governance risk assessments, assessing and identifying gaps, evaluating risks, recommending mitigation steps, and monitoring treatments.
• Build Privacy and Governance Dashboards, for executives, product managers and application owners that provide a near real time look at the Privacy and Governance health of the organization.

Top 3 to 5 skillsets / years of experience:

• Good understanding of data privacy and data engineering solutions
• Apply and explain anonymization, deidentification, pseudonymization and other privacy preserving techniques
• Basic SQL and Data Analysis
• Reporting and Dashboarding (Power BI preferred)
• Data Catalog/discovery/privacy tools (BigID, OneTrust, Alation etc.,)
• Technical privacy assessments. Policies, standards and risk frameworks
• 5 years of work experience
• Exposure to software solution development using agile

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Be part of the privacy technology team. Work closely with data privacy office, data application teams and product owners to design, implement and support data privacy, governance and analytics solutions for a better regulatory compliance and technology risk management.
• Good understanding of data privacy and data engineering solutions built using Azure products and services: (Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Event Hub/Service bus, Azure Stream Analytics, Azure Databricks, PySpark, logic apps etc.,)
• Apply and explain anonymization, deidentification, pseudonymization and other privacy preserving techniques to optimize privacy and utility
• Involved in multiple aspects of the IT application development lifecycle – design, cloud engineering (Infrastructure, network, security, and administration)
• Design integrations within Privacy, Cybersecurity and Governance platforms such as Data Catalog/Quality and Intelligence products
• Administer privacy by design frameworks, tools and policies like data retention and data discovery (using tools like BigID, OnTrust etc.,)
• Socialize privacy by design practices with application and product teams (technical and non-technical audience)
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
• 5 years exposure to software solution development using agile, DevOps, operating in a product model that includes designing, developing, and implementing large-scale applications or data engineering solutions.
• 5+ years data analytics experience using SQL
• 3+ years of cloud development and data lake experience (prefer Microsoft Azure)

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3+ years of implementing software solution best practices, building frameworks, integrations, functions or libraries to enable self-service options
• Data Privacy or Cybersecurity related experience
• Combination of Development, Administration & Support experience in several of the following tools/platforms:
  • Programming/Scripting: Strong Python, Spark, Unix, SQL, APIs, Java
  • Data Platforms: Teradata, MongoDB, Oracle, SQL Server, ADLS, Snowflake, Cassandra
  • Azure Cloud Technologies: Azure Databricks, Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, Azure Power Apps, logic apps and Azure Functions
  • CI/CD: GitHub, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Terraform
  • BI Analytics Tool Stack: Cognos, Tableau, Power BI, and Grafana
  • Other tools and integrations: BigID (or any data discovery tools), Alation (or any data catalog tools), Data quality tools/integrations

SKILLS, LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

• Expertise in Azure Technology stack for data management, data ingestion, capture, processing, curation and creating consumption layers
• Expertise in providing practical direction within the Azure Native cloud services
• Any Azure, Databricks, Pyspark, Microsoft certifications (preferred)
• Any Cybersecurity or Privacy related trainings or certifications (like CIPT etc., preferred)
