Description

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions related to the stamping process.
  • Continuously improve and optimize the stamping process to increase production efficiency, reduce scrap rates, and improve quality.
  • Develop and implement process controls, monitoring and measurement systems to ensure process stability and capability.
  • Collaborate with other engineers, operators and production teams to identify and resolve issues related to the stamping process.
  • Provide technical support and training to operators and production teams to ensure compliance with manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives using lean methodologies, such as Kaizen, 5S and Six Sigma.
  • Participate in the design and development of new stamping tools and fixtures to optimize the manufacturing process.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of manufacturing process failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to the stamping process to ensure performance goals are met or exceeded.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in a stamping manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of stamping processes, including die design, die build, material flow, and press operations.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
  • Experience with CAD software, such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
