Production Engineer

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily production activities aligned with the Production Plan, ensuring safety, meeting production targets, and maintaining quality while optimizing costs.

• Coordinate workforce deployment, training, and output delivery as per requirements.

• Enhance Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Line Efficiency.

• Manage inventory of raw materials and finished goods to prevent shortages or excess stock.

• Lead Productivity Projects, creating initiatives to streamline processes and reduce manpower.

• Maintain target levels for Rejection % and Productivity.

• Enforce stringent quality control measures across the production process to uphold established standards.

• Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with manufacturing partners and key suppliers.

• Direct negotiations and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms.

• Collaborate with manufacturing partners to align on production objectives, quality standards, and continuous improvement efforts.

• Oversee end-to-end procurement, from supplier selection to goods receipt.

• Monitor supplier performance, conducting regular assessments to ensure reliability, quality, and competitiveness.

• Drive Commodity Parts Development, focusing on cost competitiveness and optimal sourcing through market intelligence.

• Formulate a comprehensive sourcing strategy for the company and its regional supply chain partners.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities through competitor product benchmarking.

• Monitor production expenses, align spending with budgets, and propose cost-saving approaches.

• Develop and implement efficient Sourcing and category management strategies.

• Forecast potential challenges through data analysis and prepare corresponding control strategies.

• Produce regular operational and sourcing reports for senior management, highlighting key performance indicators, challenges, and opportunities.
