Great Opportunity as a Lead in Applications Production Support!!!


 

The Production Support Lead is responsible to partner with multiple technology teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals; identify and define necessary system enhancements; analyze existing system logic, identify problems; and recommend and implements solutions.
o Provides expertise in area and an advanced level of understanding of the principles of apps support.
o Formulates and defines systems scope and objectives for complex, high impact application enhancements and problem resolution through in-depth analysis and evaluation of complex business processes, systems and industry standards; documents requirements.
o Partners with multiple technology areas and management teams to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals.
o Works closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts and Systems Analysts to determine and document Systems impacts and support requirements
o Considers the implications of the application of technology to the current environment.
o Identifies risks, vulnerabilities and security issues; communicates impact; proposes risk mitigation options.
o Acts as advisor or coach to new or lower level analysts; allocates work.
o Provides in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions.
o Directly impacts the business by influencing strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services.
o Persuades and influences others through strong and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills
o Performs other duties and functions as assigned
o Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

 

Technical Skills:
· Strong written and verbal communication skills - will interact with senior technology and business managers. 
· Working experience in Corporate Banking / Financial services.
· AML/KYC/Name & Transaction Screening knowledge preferred.
· Production Support experience.
· Oracle Database: Good PL/SQL knowledge and other standard database query tools 
· Golden Gate experience preferred. 
· Unix: Linux / Solaris, shell scripting.
· Proven experience working in a distributed environment based on Unix-Oracle
· Connectivity: Connect Direct, SFTP etc.
· Good knowledge of batch processing.
· Proven experience of involvement with large complex environments.
· Good understanding of support environments (ticketing, SLAs, rotas, etc.)
· Coordination of work activities involving TI, Data Centre, DBA's, Local and Global Technology teams.

 

Qualifications:
o 6-10 years' experience
o Practical problem solving and strategic thinking skills
o Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills and relationship building skills
o Service oriented attitude
o Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
o Proficient using basic technical tools and systems
o Good interpersonal and communication skills
Education:

o Bachelor's/University degree preferred
