Program Manager 2

Austin, TX (Remote within Texas)

6 month Contract with possibility to extension

Worker will perform these tasks:

  • Take large, complex problems or efforts and drive them to successful outcomes with a high value placed on cross-team collaboration, customer satisfaction and improving IT operations
  • Develop accurate plans that contemplate resources and dependencies across teams and manage to the plan
  • Take identified need for new services, processes, team capabilities, etc. and identify plan, execute and implement.
  • Assist in negotiating mutually satisfactory solutions to cross-team needs or problems;
  • Establish and identify mechanisms for partnering with internal and external partners and all teams within IT
  • Assist in the establishment of effective committees designed to efficiently make decisions or serve in advisory roles to the team
  • Partner with overall Client's IT Transformation Program Office and IT Towers to ensure continuous alignment for the life of the program.
  • Provide coordination and support for various governance and advisory groups;
  • Review and provide feedback on project deliverables and collateral.

Required Skills and Experience:

5Familiar with standards, concepts, practices, and procedures of project management
3Experience working in large transformation projects (information systems, system integration or other large projects).
3Experience working with Quality Assurance efforts
2Experience executing communication, dashboards, and various change management activities
2Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and contribute in situations where incomplete information is available
2Demonstrated ability to be a positive, contributing and desired member of a team or effort

 

2Experience with IT Service Management, ITIL practices
3Strong verbal and written communication skills.

3+Information systems, system integration or project delivery experience.
1Experience working with external vendors and/or Quality Assurance efforts a plus
1Experience entering a project that is already in progress and demonstrating ability to effectively assume responsibilities quickly
