Key job responsibilities of a Program Manager.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to translate strategic initiatives into actionable plans.
  • Design, optimize, and implement operational processes aligned with strategic objectives related to cloud initiatives.
  • Managing the main program documentation such as the program initiation documents.
  • Evaluate and enhance existing processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with strategic initiatives.
  • Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and establish reporting mechanisms.
  • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders for successful outcomes.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (engineering, product, design) for project execution.
  • Adapt cloud strategies to align with evolving business needs.
  • Act as a facilitator/trainer to enable team adoption of tools and processes.
  • Supporting Key Account Managers & Account Managers in reaching sales targets though pro-active and re-active development of new business.

 

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
  • 8+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of experience in technical program management in a dynamic and highly technical environment
  • A strong track record in managing complex cross-functional projects in a cloud/SaaS environment.
  • Deep understanding of the processes, strategies, and trade-offs in cloud computing
  • Domain expertise in infrastructure and/or SRE
  • Experience working with code, storage, or operating systems.
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, or other technical discipline. Project Management Certification (PMP) is a plus.
  • 8+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience.
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes, and coordinating release schedules.
  • Experience defining KPI's/SLAs used to drive multi-million-dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to successfully engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to succinctly summarize key findings.
  • Knowledge of software and hardware development process and lifecycle
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize critical tasks with high attention to detail.
  • Strong meeting management and negotiating skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop high performing teams.
  • Experience with MS Project, Atlassian ToolSuite (Confluence /JIRA)
  • Experience working with senior management and customer support teams.
  • AWS or GCP Certifications (e.g. AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer)
  • Experience with Cloud Cost Optimization tooling.
